Tedeschi Trucks Band pulled into Los Angeles on Wednesday for a co-headlining concert with Whiskey Myers at the Greek Theatre. The 12-piece ensemble fronted by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks brought out fellow guitarist Doyle Bramhall II to guest on a pair of covers at the end of their set.
Doyle Bramhall II first connected with Derek Trucks as members of Eric Clapton's backing band in 2006 and 2007. Bramhall II has since made several appearances with Tedeschi Trucks Band, including at the 2019 LOCKN' festival, where he teamed with the group and Trey Anastasio for a complete performance of Derek & The Dominos’ iconic album Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs.

Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off their latest Live In 25 Tour performance with “Crazy Cryin’,” a song debuted live at the first show of the run. Recently premiered numbers “Who Am I,” “Future Soul” and “Devil Be Gone” were also sprinkled into the group’s lone set.
Doyle Bramhall II emerged late in the frame to add a third guitar to a cover of Elmore James’ “The Sky Is Crying.” Tedeschi, Trucks and Bramhall II traded licks on an extended version of the blues standard.
Tedeschi Trucks Band punctuated their visit to the Los Angeles Greek with a rousing rendition of the Beatles classic “With A Little Help From My Friends” featuring Bramhall II. Susan Tedeschi went full on frontwoman as she put her guitar down while belting out the song.
