This week’s installment of the Grateful Dead’s All The Years Live video series features a performance of “Stagger Lee” from July 4, 1989 at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The entire concert was released as Truckin’ To Buffalo in 2005.

“The show that was very nearly View From The Vault Vol. 1, July 4, 1989 is one of the best shows of an outstanding tour, including a few surprises, and remarkably tight playing throughout, from the opening ‘Bertha’ to the encore of ‘U.S. Blues,'” wrote Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux. “This ‘Stagger Lee’ is one of the many highlights of the first set. It’s a song that was played less than a dozen times per year 1986-1995, so it was always a treat.”
