Karol G Welcomes Plan B’s Maldy For Cover Debuts At US Tour Closer In Dallas

Karol G reunited with her “Gatúbela” collaborator Maldy on Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where the Colombian singer wrapped the U.S. portion of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour. The guest spot expanded into a nod to Maldy’s history with Plan B, as the pair performed two songs from the Puerto Rican reggaeton duo’s catalog.

Maldy joined Karol G during the fourth act of the five-part show for “Gatúbela.” Released in August 2022 and later included on her 2023 album Mañana Será Bonito, the collaboration brought together Karol and an artist whose music she had followed long before they recorded together.

In a 2022 interview with Billboard, Maldy recalled that he first met Karol G while filming the “Gatúbela” video in Spain. He said she explained that the collaboration held personal significance because she had long been a fan of Plan B and old-school reggaeton. The song also gave Maldy his first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100 following a two-year break from music.

Thursday’s collaboration continued with “Si No Le Contesto” and “Es Un Secreto,” both from Plan B’s 2010 album, House Of Pleasure. Maldy originally recorded the songs as one-half of the duo alongside Chencho Corleone. According to Setlist.fm’s performance histories, the Dallas-area finale marked Karol G’s first documented performances of both songs.

Earlier in the evening, Karol opened with “Latina Foreva” and worked the tour debut of “X Si Volvemos” into the first act. The setlist spanned her catalog, including selections from 2025’s Tropicoqueta and this year’s No Me Arrepiento De Sentir Tanto. After Maldy’s appearance, she continued with “Amargura,” “Tu Perfume” and “Bandida Entrenada.” The final act included salsa versions of “Bichota” and “Tusa” before “200 Copas” and “Provenza” brought the performance to a close.

The Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour resumes November 6 at Estadio BBVA in the Monterrey, Mexico area. Watch full-show video from Arlington below:
