The latest chapter of the Zach Bryan / Bruce Springsteen musical relationship was penned last night at Bryan’s concert in Philadelpia. Bryan brought out The Boss late in his main set on Wednesday for Springsteen’s “Atlantic City” and their “Sandpaper” collaboration before the legendary musician returned to add to the “Revival” finale along with The Lumineers and comedian Shane Gillis.

Wednesday marked the second of two Quittin Time Tour shows at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. While the first night was marred by inclement weather that pushed back the start of the concert, there were no such issues last night.

Bruce Springsteen previously sat-in with Zach Bryan in Brooklyn on March 27, 2024. The 74-year-old musician flew in from California while on a tour of his own for that guest spot. This time around Springsteen was between legs of his run with the E Street Band.

Zach Bryan started strumming “Atlantic City” last night as fans chanted “Bruuuuuuce.” Springsteen sauntered onto stage holding his Telecaster guitar and dueted with Bryan on his debut performance of the song from Bruce’s 1982 album, Nebraska. The pair’s version of “Atlantic City” incorporated pedal steel guitar and trumpet.

The March Zach Bryan/Bruce Springsteen summit featured a performance of the unreleased song “Sandpaper.” The tune has since been issued on Bryan’s The Great American Bar Scene album. The Boss added to the studio version and also played “Sandpiper” with Bryan again last night.

The Lumineeers came out earlier in the evening to join Bryan on his song “Spotless.” As usual, “Revival” closed Bryan’s concert and saw Bruce Springsteen and The Lumineers return to the stage. Shane Gillis were also on hand for the final song of the night. The Boss ripped an intense guitar solo and helped sing the extended version of the Zach Bryan classic.
