Zach Bryan welcomed an unlikely guest last night in Brooklyn, when Bruce Springsteen came out for the final two songs of the country star’s show at Barclays Center. Springsteen flew in from California, where he’s in the middle of a tour with the E Street Band that continues tonight in San Francisco.
Wednesday’s concert was the first of two nights for Bryan’s Quittin Time Tour in Brooklyn. The Boss wasn’t the only special guest to join Bryan on Wednesday as Maggie Rogers also sat-in. Rogers’ inital appearance came towards the middle of the main set, when she accompanied Zach Bryan on their 2023 co-written single “Dawns.”

Zach Bryan, who has covered The Boss’ “I’m On Fire” both live and in the studio, took the Barclays Center stage wearing a Bruce Springsteen t-shirt. Bryan lit into the unreleased song “Sandpaper” to start his encore last night. Bruce Springsteen strolled out early in the song to massive cheers from the shocked audience.
The 74-year-old rock icon sang the high parts of “Sandpaper” and played his signature Fender Telecaster guitar. Chants of “Bruuuuuce” went out after the song. Zach Bryan then added Maggie Rogers to the mix for a show-closing “Revival,” the song that ends his 2020 LP, Elisabeth.

Zach Bryan returns to Barclays Center tonight and hits Elmont, New York’s UBS Arena on Saturday and Sunday. The Quittin Time Tour continues after a three-week break on April 24.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band recently relaunched their tour that was postponed after The Boss suffered a peptic ulcer. Springsteen will be on the road throughout 2024.
