John Mayer Helps Zach Bryan See ‘Better Days’ At Los Angeles Concert

Zach Bryan wrapped a three-show Quittin Time Tour stop at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night. The concert in Los Angeles featured Dead & Company guitarist John Mayer sitting in with Bryan on an unreleased song during the main set and returning for the typically boisterous encore.

In February 2022, Zach Bryan posted a message on social media about his experience seeing John Mayer’s concert at Madison Square Garden. Bryan wrote:

“I went and saw John Mayer last night painfully sober with my best friend at Madison Square Garden and holy shit? He’s definitely not overrated but I don’t think it’s over-hyping to say he’s top three of our time. a genius??”

Bryan teased a collaboration with Mayer in a since-deleted social media post shared last fall that showed the pair working together in a recording studio.

When Mayer first emerged during Tuesday’s concert, he accompanied Bryan on an unreleased song believed to be titled “Better Days.” Bryan also recruited Mayer for the usual “Revival” encore. Mayer added guitar to the typically wild finale performance.

Mayer will return to Las Vegas to join his Dead & Co. bandmates in resuming their Dead Forever Sphere residency on Thursday, June 6. Bryan will follow Mayer to Sin City for the next Quittin Time Tour stop at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, June 7.
