Starting at 8pm sharp, and going all the way to closing time (around 1:30AM/1:45AM) John sings, plays piano and guitar, and loops. Requests taken in many styles! The evening usually starts out a bit more mellow, and gets progressively more rockin' as the night goes on. Jazz standards, acoustic guitar folk-vibe stuff, indie rock tunes, 80s MTV classics, WCKG style working-class rock nuggets, "Yacht Rock" smoothness, jam-scene hippie grooves, minimal funk…. and whatever else I feel like playing, or you request. It's all possible. Always a free show / no cover charge at Beviamo. Drink specials, too. Located in UIC University Village. 1358 W. Taylor. Beviamo is drinks only (no food) but there are some amazing restaurants very close by. The amazing Davanti Enoteca (www.davantichicago.com) is directly across the street, and so is Francesca's (http://www.miafrancesca.com).
