DUB MISSION presents the best in dub, dubstep, roots & dancehall with DJ SEP, MANEESH the TWISTER (Surya Dub) and guest NO DOUGH DUB with surprise guest MC at Elbo Room - 647 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA 94110 - Club is 21+ - Club info: 415 552 7788 9 pm to 2 am - Free before 9:30 / $6 after Bay Area-based producer Scott Dough (aka "No Dough Dub") was first introduced to dancehall reggae through DJ Clint O'Neill (WLRN Miami, FL). A byproduct of early 1990s NYC and Florida rave culture, the old-school dancehall junglist's recent projects include Future Dub and drumstep collaborations with Lee "Scratch" Perry, Mad Decent, Winstrong, Sky-I, Jah Blaze, Soundtweaker (I.R.D., Suboculis), Xandra Corpora and Micah Dubreuil (Con Brio). Dough's multi-instrumental handiwork encompasses session bassist stints for David Sancious, Curt Olsen (Philospher's Club), Miriam Speyer, Brod Rob (Grow Records, LoveHaight Records) and several others, Dough has also garnered production credits for composing and charting brass arrangements for cross-genre endeavors throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles and NYC while also proffering the mallets in-studio for marimba embellishments in what he calls "organic electronica," which is essentially EDM where most instrumental elements are tracked and performed live.
