Superstar violinist Joshua Bell returns to perform Leonard Bernstein’s heart-wrenching Serenade, a piece Bernstein dedicated to the memory of his mentor – the legendary conductor Serge Koussevitzky. Spanish conductor Juanjo Mena makes his PSO debut with Brahms’ stunning Third Symphony, a reigning example of the deeply personal music composed during the Romantic era.
