Mountain Jam 2016 Day Four :: 6.5.16 :: Hunter Mountain :: Hunter, NY

The 12th annual Mountain Jam festival held at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, New York concluded on Sunday with a shortened day of music as severe weather led organizers to cancel late afternoon and evening performances. Mountain Jam regulars Michael Franti & Spearhead was among the acts that were able to go ahead with their set before the cancellation. The group’s feel good performance featured a guest spot from Warren Haynes who added to “Life Is Better With You” with a refrain of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Brooklyn was well represented by psych-rockers Quilt and hard-rockers The London Souls. Gregg Allman Band guitarist Scott Sharrard showed off his own band, while folk-rock trio Ballroom Thieves were backed by the Maine Youth Rock Orchestra.
