Dave Matthews Band performed last night at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, playing two sets before busting out a song not played since 2009 for the encore. Like other shows on the tour, DMB started the concert acoustically before going electric for set two, but unlike several of their gigs on this tour, no guests joined the band last night in Mansfield.

After sticking to a setlist of tour standards for the evening’s acoustic and electric sets, Matthews began the encore by playing a partial take on “Smooth Rider,” marking the band’s first performance of the song since July 18, 2009 at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin. Having not been played in 383 shows, the track that appeared on their 2005 Stand Up album quickly gave way to “Two Step” to close out the show.

Dave Matthews Band performs next at Camden, New Jersey’s Susquehanna Bank Center for a two night stand June 26 and 27. Watch footage of DMB busting out “Smooth Rider” captured by supastarkel:
