Watch Tedeschi Trucks Band Perform New Sly & The Family Stone Medley On ‘Howard Stern Show’

Tedeschi Trucks Band recently appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. Led by guitarist/vocalist Susan Tedeschi and guitarist Derek Trucks, the group offered their recently debuted Sly & The Family Stone medley along with the title track off their new album Future Soul.

Tedeschi Trucks Band wrap their 10-show residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre this weekend. Night two of the run saw the TTB rolling out Sly & The Family Stone’s “You Can Make It If You Try” and “Everyday People.” The band also brought the medley to Howard Stern.

The 12-pience ensemble are no strangers to the music of Sly & The Family Stone. Tedeschi Trucks Band has been performing a medley of the group’s “Sing A Simple Song” and “I Want To Take You Higher” regularly since their formation.

Tedeschi Trucks Band’s visit to SiriusXM’s NYC studio album saw them perform “Future Soul,” the title track from their new album, which arrived on March 20. The Howard Stern Show additionally shared an interview video clip on Derek Trucks playing Jerry Garcia's “Tiger” guitar, which recently sold for $11 million, on stage at the Beacon.
