Last night, Tedeschi Trucks Band's Beacon Theatre residency rounded the corner for home with the eighth concert of the 10-show run. Special guests had been a key component to the previous three shows of the residency, a trend that continued on Wednesday with appearances from Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars and The Blind Boys Of Alabama's Joey Williams.

North Mississippi Allstars opened the evening with a support set before Tedeschi Trucks Band took the Beacon stage for one extended set. The 12-piece ensemble kicked off their portion of the night with a haunting cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “State Trooper.” More Beacon Residency 2026 debuts followed in “All That I Need,” “Comin’ Home,” “Sweet & Low” and “Gravity.” Both “All That I Need” and “Sweet & Low” went unplayed by TTB in 2025.

Next, the group led by the husband and wife duo of Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi turned their attention to their just-released studio album, Future Soul, for “I Got You” and “Under The Knife.” A lengthy “Shame” trailed behind ahead of covers of Wet Willie’s “Keep On Smilin'” and Roosevelt Sykes’ “Forty-Four,” which were split by “Idle Wind.”

Tedeschi Trucks Band brought out siblings Luther and Cody Dickinson for the subsequent “Anyday.” Cody took over Isaac Eady's drum kit, while Luther let it rip on guitar. The Derek & The Dominos cover featured a “Blue Sky”-esque jam during Derek Trucks’ solo.

Susan Tedeschi guided the group through takes on Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right” and Don Robey’s “I Pity The Fool” leading up to a set-closing medley of Sly & The Family Stone classics “Sing A Simple Song” and “I Want To Take You Higher.” Guitarist Joey Williams took the stage with TTB when they returned for the encore. Williams added a third guitar to a Mark Rivers-sung version of “Fire & Rain” by James Taylor and the Mike Mattison-led “Get What You Deserve” finale.

Tedeschi Trucks Band resumes their Beacon Theatre residency on Friday, March 28. The 10-show run ends with a concert on Saturday, March 29. Watch fan-shot video of the collaborations from Wednesday’s TTB show below:
