Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms brought their tour with Spin Doctors to Levitt Pavilions SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. John Popper and company welcomed Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms for a surprise encore performance of Steely Dan's “Dirty Work.”

The three bands, all of which scored big hits during the 1990s, first teamed up for a summer tour in 2025 and reunited for another run this year. After launching the trek out west in July, the groups are currently making their way through the Northeast.

Blues Traveler’s set in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania got underway with their signature hit “Runaround” and also delivered favorites including “100 Years,” “Dropping Some NYC” and “Hook.” The band welcomed a pair of guests from Spin Doctors during the performance, with frontman Chris Barron joining Blues Traveler for “Champipple,” a song from the John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours catalog, and guitarist Eric Schenkman appearing later for “Carolina Blues.”

Wilson then joined Blues Traveler when the band returned for the encore. “Singing this one with us tonight, this is our first time ever doing this number … Mr. Robin Wilson from Gin Blossoms,” John Popper told the Bethlehem crowd before Wilson belted out “Dirty Work.”

The Steely Dan classic appears on the duo’s landmark 1972 debut album, Can’t Buy A Thrill. Wilson’s appearance also marked a departure from the collaboration that had become customary on the tour. At the previous 11 stops, the Gin Blossoms singer had teamed with Blues Traveler to perform Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ “Breakdown.”
