Queens Of The Stone Confirm 1st Album In 3 Years ‘Perfecth’ & Share Simmering ‘Insignificant Other’ Single

Queens of the Stone Age confirmed their anticipated new album, Perfecth, due out on October 30 via Matador Records. The rockers also shared the second preview of the new LP, “Insignificant Other.”

QOTSA’s first studio album since 2023’s In Times New Roman, the band shared the initial look at Perfecth in July via the single “Easy Street” featuring Nikki Lane. The band continued to hint at the new record with a characteristically dark humour “Five Finger Filet” teaser video on when the album would NOT be out.

The band shared a similarly funny and unsettling video today along with the Perfecth confirmation. Starring frontman Josh Homme and furry friends, the clip follows the plight of Big Chongus and the quest for a “perfecth” home. Watch below:

Produced by Homme and bassist Michael Shuman, Perfecth is made in the spirit of Kintsugi, “the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by filling its cracks with gold,” as per press materials.

“Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth’,” Homme stated. “And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.”

“Every song sounds like it’s from a different world,” Josh added. “And that’s on purpose, because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that.”

Following up on “Easy Street,” today QOTSA shared the second preview, “Insignificant Other.”

“It’s a song about distance,” Homme said of the latest track. “About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that.”
