Queens of the Stone Age kicked off their 2026 Summer Tour last night at Strawberry Arena in Solna, Sweden. The rockers slipped in a pair of breakouts into the setlist during the show near Stockholm.
The concert got underway with one of the two bust outs, “Run, Pig, Run.” The track originally appears on QOTSA’s 2007 album, Era Vulgaris.
Taking the stage to the saccharine strains of Straland Vocal Band’s “Afternoon Delight,” the band immediately laid down a contrast both visually and sonically as they launched into the thrash-infused “Run, Pig, Run.” QOTSA dusted off the Era Vulgaris cut for the first time in 18 years.
The second breakout arrived a few songs later in the form of another Era Vulgaris track (as the record approaches its 20th anniversary), the amazingly titled “The Fun Machine Took a Shit and Died.” QOTSA last performed the galloping rocker in 2014.
Frontman Josh Homme and company also delivered additional favorites such as “Little Sister,” “I Sat by the Ocean,” “Go With the Flow,” “No One Knows” and “Song for the Dead,” the latter sealing the show.
