SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead Channel Welcomes Jim James As Special Guest DJ

My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James will take over SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead Channel (Ch. 23) as special guest DJ for a special two-hour set. The singer-songwriter will guide listeners through his favorite Grateful Dead songs while discussing the band’s enduring influence.

James’ appearance comes as part of SiriusXM’s annual “Days Between” programming on the Grateful Dead Channel. The “Days Between,” August 1 – 9, marks the time between the anniversaries of Jerry Garcia's birth and his passing.

The set airs live on SiriusXM today, August 4 at 4 p.m. ET. Replays are scheduled for Thursday, August 6 at 8 a.m. ET, Saturday, August 8 at 12 a.m. ET (Friday Night) and later the same day at 3 p.m. ET.

Jim James will release his first new solo album in eight years, Wowed Out, on August 28 through ATO Records. The Louisville native hits the road in late fall for a run of solo acoustic tour dates in support of the LP.
