My Morning Jacket will set up shop at the historic San Francisco venue The Fillmore for a seven-show residency this fall. Each night of the run will have a theme based on a different color of the rainbow.
The residency has been broken down by the band into three distinct segments with no repeats promised at each. MMJ kicks off the run October 3 – 4, continues the residency October 6 – 7 and wraps the Bay Area stand October 9 – 11.
“The Fillmore. Anyone who knows us, knows what a sacred place this is to the band, and to music in general. All of the history. All of the legends. All of the peace, love, and mind-blowing music created by so many artists within those hallowed walls over so many years. We are so honored to be even a small part of its wondrous history and are so thrilled to be coming back again – FOR 7 NIGHTS!!! We look forward to laughing, dancing, and singing together while celebrating every color of the rainbow and all of the beauty, diversity, and magic in this wild wonderful world!” reads a statement from the band.
My Morning Jacket has played a total of 11 previous shows at The Fillmore dating back to their venue debut on October 7, 2002. The most recent performances came with a four-night May 2024 residency.
Members of My Morning Jacket’s free One Big Family fan club get the first opportunity to purchase tickets on Tursday, March 31 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets then go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 3 at 10 a.m. PT.
