The Disco Biscuits Release 2nd Installment Of Upcoming Space Opera Album ‘Revolution In Motion’

The Disco Biscuits released the second installment of their fan-dubbed space opera, Revolution in Motion, due out in full on March 29. The band also shared an accompanying video with Revolution in Motion, Pt. 2 featuring comic book-style animation by Blunt Action.

The Disco Biscuits shared Revolution in Motion, Pt. 1 last month. The initial installment contains the tracks “Shocked!,” “Twisted In The Road,” “The Wormhole” and “Another Plan Of Attack,” which the band also released as singles in 2023.

Revolution in Motion, Pt. 2 is comprised of three brand new releases, “Times Square,” “Spaga’s Last Stand,” and “Freeze.” The four-track EP also contains the previously released single, “Tourists (Rocket Ship).”

Bisco guitarist Jon Gutwillig teamed with collaborator Joey Friedman in August 2021 to begin crafting the Revolution In Motion material with tDB keyboardist Aron Magner joining the creative process in early 2022. Friedman detailed the project:

“Disco Biscuits fans have been loving these songs for over a year, and while some fans have been able to figure out some of the underlying story, we think that when they learn all the layers to the narrative and the depth of the characters, they will have a whole new appreciation for these songs.”

Revolution in Motion Pt. 2 arrived with an accompanying animated music video subtitled “Freeze,” which “tells the story of their group of aliens coming to New York City to ‘Freeze’ and abduct humans in order to study them for the good of their home planet. What the aliens didn’t plan on, however, is The Disco Biscuits coming to save the day.”
