The Disco Biscuits Debut New Song ‘No Recollection’ In Nevada

The Disco Biscuits closed out a two-night stand in Lake Tahoe on Friday (January 26) at the Crystal Bay Club Casino in Crystal Bay, Nevada. The livetronica quartet worked the debut of new original “No Recollection” within Friday’s first set.

“No Recollection” is the latest song rolled out from the Biscuits who will release their ninth studio album, Revolution In Motion, on March 29. The album featuring the fan-deemed “Space Opera” story was previewed with Revolution in Motion, Pt. 1, the first of four parts that make up the long-awaited follow-up to 2011’s Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens.

The band — guitarist Jon Gutwillig, bassist Marc Brownstein, keyboardist Aron Magner and drummer Allen Aucoin — delivered two seamless sets at the Crystal Bay Club Casino finale. After opening with “The Very Moon,” Bisco jammed from the beloved “Spacebirdmatingcall” into the premiere of the Gutwillig-sung “No Recollection.” The new song was taken deep for 16 minutes before the band returned to “Spacebirdmatingcall.” An adventurous “Rock Candy” was tacked on to conclude Friday’s first set.

The Disco Biscuits kicked off the final frame of their Lake Tahoe run with an expansive jam that gave way to the classic “I-Man.” After working over the song for more than 20 minutes, the four-piece landed on “Freeze,” an original unveiled in 2022. Next came an inverted “Shelby Rose,” which bled into the 2023 debuted tune “Buy The Time.” The band eventually found its way back to “I-Man” to cap the frame. A “Story Of The World” encore punctuated the concert.
