Revolution In Motion marks the Disco Biscuits’ ninth studio album and first full-length record of original music since 2011’s Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens. The LP is comprised of four parts and the recently-shared first part and its accompying animated video gives a taste of a story described by fans as a “space opera.” Keyboardist Aron Magner stated the following in regards to the album release concert, which he noted will include a full performance of the space opera:

“With a large part of the space opera taking place in New York City, we thought it was only appropriate to play a show there on the day of its release. After our late-night rager at the Palladium over our New Year’s run in 2023, we can’t wait to get back to NYC and tell this story from start to finish.”

The Disco Biscuits rolled out the material from Revolution In Motion live in concert in 2022 and 2023. “The Biscuits’ fans have been loving these songs for over a year, and while some have been able to figure out the underlying story, we think they will gain a whole new appreciation for these songs once they learn all the layers to the narrative and the depth of the characters,” explained lyricist Joey Friedman.
