The Disco Biscuits delivered their first full Tractorbeam set since 2019 at Boulder, Colorado’s Fox Theatre on Sunday. The sold-out show capped a six-night Colorado run.

The Disco Biscuits began performing as Tractorbeam in 2007 and continued into 2010. The initial Tractobeam sets saw the band performing instrumental versions of tDB originals and covers. Bisco brought a revamped Tractorbeam back in 2019, focusing on live versions of house and disco songs utilizing Ableton Live to sync their live instruments.

Dubbed Tractorbeam v3.0, the latest iteration in Boulder saw the quartet melding the previous versions to create a set of non-lyrical originals using fully electronic instruments peppered with samples of dance and EDM favorites.

Tractorbeam launched the Fox concert with a house cover of Imogen Heap’s “Hide and Seek” before jamming into “Orch Theme,” prefaced by the NFL on Fox theme song in reference to Super Bowl LVIII which took place Sunday evening.

“Another Plan of Attack,” a single from the band’s first studio album since 2011 Revolution in Motion, followed and contained samples of No Doubt’s “Hella Good.” Original “M1” followed and featured a jam on “BOOM” by Tiësto & Sevenn featuring Gucci Mane.

Vintage Bisco original “I-Man” came next and saw the quartet integrating elements of the Frankie Goes To Hollywood ‘80s classic “Relax.” The band then headed through new songs “Dino Baby” and “Times Square.” Both “The Great Abyss” and “Svenghali” contained samples of Chase & Status’ “Baddadan” to cap the concert.

“We’ve had an unbelievable 3 weeks out west and here in Colorado,” bassist Marc Brownstein addressed the audience following the show. “We feel like it’s the best tour we’ve ever had, and the best crew we’ve ever had and we really appreciate your support. We feel extremely grateful right now. A lot of gratitude for everything.”
