David Gilmour’s highly anticipated concert at the Intuit Dome was a captivating experience for fans of the legendary guitarist and esteemed Pink Floyd member. This remarkable, state of the art venue is Los Angeles’ newest attraction, known for its striking modern architecture and impressive acoustics, which provided an exceptional and ideal setting for showcasing Gilmour’s signature sound.
As the house lights went black and a wave of anticipation filled the air, Gilmour and his band took to the stage – instantly commanding the attention of the audience with his iconic voice and masterful and recognizable guitar tone.

The night’s setlist celebrated his extensive discography, spanning both his illustrious solo career and his influential time with Pink Floyd. Highlights included timeless classics such as “Breathe,” “Time,” “Wish You Were Here,” and the show-closing “Comfortably Numb.”
His latest release, Luck And Strange is a fantastic album from top to bottom. Songs like “Dark And Velvet Nights,” “The Piper’s Call,” and the title track “Luck And Strange” were standout selections and were well-received among his diverse crowd.
Another special moment of the night happened when David’s daughter, Romany Gilmour, joined him on the songs “Vita Brevis” and “Between Two Points.”
Gilmour is a masterful musician and his remarkable ability was on full display as this guitar legend had the sold out crowd of 17,000 singing to the classic Pink Floyd hits and playing air guitar to those legendary solos. His bassist of many years, Guy Pratt, was terrific holding down the low end and keeping the band grooving all night. He was locked in with drummer Adam Betts who did an outstanding job handling the Nick Mason work for the Floyd material and the stuff Steve Gadd laid down on the new record.
Famed keyboardist, Greg Phillinganes, known for his work with Michael Jackson and most recently as a touring member of both John Mayer’s band and Toto, was impressive handing a double duty of keys and vocals as needed. Guitarist Ben Worsley lived up to the task of not only accompanying a legend like Gilmour, but also being able to stand out on his own with his playing.
As the concert reached its powerful finale, the connection between Gilmour and his audience became palpable and electric. The final notes of “Comfortably Numb” echoed through the arena, as fans, young and old thoroughly enjoyed this special night of music.
