Today, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour celebrates the release of his new solo album, Luck And Strange, by giving fans a peek into preparations for his first tour since 2016. Gilmour will broadcast a tour rehearsal live from an undisclosed location starting at 12 p.m. ET this afternoon.

Luck And Strange marks Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. David Gilmour will kick off a tour supporting the record on September 27 with his first of six shows at Rome’s Circus Maximus. The trek also includes dates in London, Los Angeles and New York City.

David Gilmour’s band for the upcoming tour finds him joined by bassist Guy Pratt, Greg Phillinganes and Rob Gentry on keyboards, guitarist Ben Worsley, drummer Adam Betts on drums and Louise Marshall with Hattie and Charley Webb on vocals. Romany Gilmour, David’s daughter, will contribute harp and vocals.

After initially proclaiming his “unwillingness to revisit the Pink Floyd of the Seventies” during the tour, Gilmour recently changed his tune. “One has to wake up to reality once in a while. I think I will be doing one or two things from that time, but it just seems so long ago,” Gilmour told Rolling Stone. “I know people love them, and I love playing them. I’ll be doing ‘Wish You Were Here,’ of course I will. And some of the things that started with me anyway.” The guitarist also mentioned he’ll “quite likely” perform “Comfortably Numb” and is still working on the setlist.

“Join us here on David’s YouTube channel at 5pm BST / 12pm ET tomorrow (Friday) to celebrate the release of Luck and Strange with David and the band performing tracks from the album (and maybe an old favourite…) live at tour rehearsals,” reads a note accompanying the livestream on YouTube.
