Goose Crashes Boulder House Party With Surprise Set Ahead Of Colorado Run

Goose gave University of Colorado Boulder students an unexpected preview of their Colorado run on Wednesday night, crashing a house party for a free backyard show. The band provided the lucky attendees with a seven-song set before a police officer attempted to shut down the show.

The surprise appearance came one night before Goose begins a sold-out run of shows across Colorado. The band’s Colorado dates include three nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, along with performances at fellow idyllic Centennial State venues The Mishawaka in Bellevue and Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon.

With students packed into the backyard, Goose kicked off the impromptu performance with “The Empress Of Organos,” the song’s first appearance as an opener. The fan favorite segued into a rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Green River” before returning to “The Empress Of Organos.” The band then moved through “Thatch” and “Yeti,” which led into a cover of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.”

“Pumped Up Kicks” marked Goose’s first performance of the song since October 3, 2025 — a gap of 60 shows. The band returned to end “Yeti” following the cover before breaking out Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman.” The song had not been performed by Goose since February 29, 2020, making Wednesday’s version the band’s first in 431 shows.

Goose then brought the set to a close with “Animal.” During the song, a police officer attempted to halt the performance, but the band played on as the energetic crowd continued to dance and chant.
