Concert For Carolina Hurricane Aid Benefit Adds More Star Power To Roster

Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Bailey Zimmerman will join James Taylor, Billy Strings, Eric Church and Luke Combs in performing at the “Concert for Carolina,” a benefit concert coming to Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, October 26. All proceeds will aid Hurricane Helene relief efforts in the Carolina region.

Concert For Carolina is a presentation of Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Authority. ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley will host the show. More artists are yet to be announced.

North Carolina was one of the states hit particularly hard by Hurricane Helene and its aftermath late last month. Taylor, Church and Combs were raised in North Carolina. Bank of America Stadium was offered as a venue for the benefit by Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper and his wife Nicole Tepper.

“I told y’all I had something big planned for Carolina. One of the ways we’re helping is a benefit concert at Bank of America Stadium on Oct. 26th! This concert took so much planning, work, and coordination from so many people,” wrote Luke Combs. “I’m so thankful to everyone who helped make this a possibility on such short notice. “This is my home. It’s in every fiber of who I am. Our family members, friends, neighbors and communities are in dire need. I’m honored to share the stage with an incredible lineup in order to help meet those needs. Through the dark, light will shine,” added Eric Church.

“When Luke first approached us with the idea for a concert benefitting relief efforts in the region, we felt compelled to open the doors of Bank of America Stadium for this special moment. Every day, we are more inspired by the strength and resolve of our Carolina community, and we are grateful to join Luke, Eric, and our fellow Carolinians as we embark on the road to recovery together,” explained David and Nicole Tepper.

Funds raised from the concert will be split evenly between Combs and Church’s Chief Cares Foundation. Chief Cares will devote its proceeds to helping established charities and organizations that are well managed, organized and can expedite aid directly to the families affected by Hurricane Helene. Combs will donate his portion to Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC and Eblen Charities.

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, October 10 at 10 a.m. ET.
