‘Darkest Hour’ Dawns: Eric Church Gives New Song To Hurricane-Battered Home State

Eric Church gifted his new song, “Darkest Hour,” to his home state of North Carolina. Church hails from Granite Falls east of Asheville, a region that has been devastated by flooding caused by Hurricane Helene.
Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend region of Florida on September 26 and then took aim at Appalachia. As Church put it in a video posted to social media: “There are some places that are just biblically gone.”

Church went on to detail how he was in the studio working on a new project and there was a song he had finished that “fit the moment,” “Darkest Hour.” Watch Eric’s video below:
