The Wood Brothers previewed their forthcoming Kingdom In My Mind studio album by sharing the single “Cry Over Nothing.” The trio – consiting of guitarist Oliver Wood, bassist Chris Wood and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix – will release the 11-track LP via Honey Jar/Thirty Tigers on January 24.
“‘Cry Over Nothing’ had good intentions of carrying a positive message—something like ‘Don’t sweat the small stuff,'” Oliver Wood told Garden & Gun of the song. “But it ended up with a realization that we humans aren’t always capable of holding it together. As we try to get through our days and cope with our fears and frustrations, we’re bound to build up some anxiety, and at some point, something small can really set us off. Ultimately the cycle seems normal and human.”
