Power To The People Festival Adds Stephen Stills, Nathaniel Rateliff, Mike McCready & More

Power To The People Festival expanded its inaugural lineup with Nathaniel Rateliff, Stephen Stills, Mike McCready, Geezer Butler, State Radio, Scott Ian and The Last Internationale. The Tom Morello-curated event will take place Saturday, October 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

The additions join a previously announced lineup featuring Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez, Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Serj Tankian, The Linda Lindas, Taylor Momsen, Matt Cameron and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Public Enemy joined the bill one day after the initial announcement.

More details were also revealed regarding Jack Black’s performance. Black will front a next-generation backing band dubbed Jack Sabbath featuring Roman Morello, son of Tom Morello; Revel Ian, son of Scott Ian; drummer Yoyoka Soma and Hugo Weiss.

Power To The People Festival will present performances across two stages as well as a Freedom Village featuring nonprofit and community organizations. Organizers also launched an official face-value ticket exchange through CashorTrade for fans looking to buy or sell tickets at face value.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales and all net proceeds from VIP tickets will benefit VoteRiders and HeadCount. Other organizations participating in the festival include the ACLU, Farm Aid, Rock The Vote, The Woody Guthrie Center, Trans Maryland, Oxfam and The Sentencing Project, among others.
