Taper’s Choice Celebrates 5th Anniversary With ‘FIVE THEE WELL’ & East Coast Shows

Taper’s Choice will mark five years as a band with a trio of newly announced East Coast shows in December. The run includes FIVE THEE WELL, billed as a celebration of five years of the Choice.

Taper’s Choice will perform at The Sinclair in Boston on December 10, five years to the day after the band played its first concert at Gold-Diggers in Los Angeles. The quartet then heads to Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York on December 11 for FIVE THEE WELL before wrapping the brief run at Tubby’s in Kingston, New York on December 12.

“We’re pleased as punch to announce a trio of new East Coast shows – including FIVE THEE WELL – a celebration of 5 years of the Choice,” the band wrote. “TC5 has arrived.” Tickets for all three concerts go on sale Friday, September 18 at 10 a.m.

The dates come during Taper’s Choice’s first year with guitarist CJ Tywoniak in the lineup. Co-founding guitarist Dave Harrington stepped away from touring with the band in March after one final performance with the original lineup at Big Ears. Tywoniak joined bassist Alex Bleeker, keyboardist Zach Tenorio-Miller and drummer Chris Tomson beginning with an April tour supporting Eggy.

Before the December shows, Taper’s Choice will embark on a five-date Halloween run beginning at Hulaween on October 25 and ending with the three-set Taper’s Ball at Garcia’s Chicago on October 30.
