Warren Haynes closed out a run of The Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience shows last night at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Haynes fit his “solo” debut of The Allman Brothers Band favorite “Revival” into the setlist.
Each The Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience concert has seen the Warren Haynes Band joined by a local orchestra for two sets and play one set by themselves. The Colorado Symphony was the featured orchestra on Tuesday.

The Warren Haynes Band — Haynes, keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Kevin Scott, drummer Terence Higgins and saxophonist Greg Osby — played a career-spanning mix of material from Warren’s various projects including Gov’t Mule and Grateful Dead offshoots with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks. The guitarist’s time in the ABB was represented with performances of “Dreams,” “Revival,” “Instrumental Illness” and “Whipping Post.”
“Revival” was released by The Allman Brothers Band in 1970 as the lead single from their sophomore studio album, Idlewild South. The ABB played the song over 375 times between its debut in 1970 and the group’s final show on October 28, 2014. Haynes was a member of The Allman Brothers Band from 1989 – 1997 and 2000 – 2014. Haynes’ only previous performance of “Revival” outside the ABB came in 2020 as part of “The Brothers” celebration concert at Madison Square Garden.
