Slash‘s all-star S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour continued last night at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington. Once again, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist called upon fellow S.E.R.P.E.N.T. performer Warren Haynes to make a guest appearance.
The Seattle area stop of the trek whose name stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance featured a lineup of Slash, Warren Haynes Band, Samantha Fish and Eric Gales. Slash previously had Haynes sit-in on “Shake Your Money Maker” at the tour opener in Bonner, Montana last Friday. Warren then brought out Slash and Myles Kennedy for “Soulshine” in Airway Heights, Washington the next night.

Slash put together the all-star excursion with a revolving lineup to promote his recently released blues album, Orgy Of The Damned. The GNR guitarist has been loading each of his setlists with blues classics, several of which he recorded for his new LP. Slash’s band for the album and tour features longtime The London Souls guitarist Tash Neal as well as bassist Johnny Griparic, keyboardist Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis and drummer Michael Jerome.
Warren Haynes joined Slash and his band for “Big Legged Woman,” the penultimate tune of their main set. Initially written and released by Israel “Popper Stopper” Tolbert, Freddie King popularized the song. Neal handled lead vocals while Haynes and Slash each took solos before trading licks in a bit of call-and-response.
