Down One Horse: Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Saddles Up For 1st Acoustic Tour

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will go unplugged this December while drummer Will “Bronco” Clark prepares to welcome his first son. Dubbed the Down One Horse Winter Tour, the band’s first acoustic tour features three-night stands in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and Asheville, North Carolina with a different special guest each night.

“Let’s do an unplugged acoustic tour! The very first in Cosmic Country’s history of all space and time,” Donato wrote on social media. “Send Bronco and his family your prayers and love as he welcomes his first son to the stable.”

The tour begins at Ardmore Music Hall on December 3 with Greensky Bluegrass dobro player Anders Beck. Cabinet’s JP & Pappy Biondo join the group on December 4, followed by fiddler Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on December 5.

Cosmic Country then heads to Asheville Music Hall for three more shows. Aron Magner of is the special guest on December 9, drummer Jeff Sipe appears on December 10 and Shadowgrass guitarist Kyser George joins the band on December 11. The tour graphic teases three additional shows with details still under wraps.

While December marks Cosmic Country’s first acoustic tour, the band explored a stripped-down setup earlier this year with an all-cover set at Camp Cosmic III. The May performance at The Caverns included songs associated with Merle Haggard, Simon & Garfunkel, Al Green and The Band.
