Tom Morello Trades Licks With 15-Year-Old Son Roman On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Tom Morello brought “Soldier In The Army Of Love” to Brooklyn on Tuesday for a Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance alongside his 15-year-old son, Roman Morello. The father and son traded guitar licks as the ABC late-night show continued its week in the borough.

Morello’s appearance followed TV On The Radio’s performance of “Wolf Like Me” on Monday’s opening episode. Tuesday marked the second night of Kimmel’s Brooklyn run.

“Soldier In The Army Of Love” was originally released in June 2024 and appears on Morello’s new solo rock album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want, which arrived last Friday, September 25 through Mom + Pop Music. Roman co-wrote the song with his father and shares songwriting credit on five of the album’s tracks.

The Morellos have another shared gig ahead on Saturday, October 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Tom curated the inaugural Power To The People Festival, where Roman will also play in Jack Black's backing band, Jack Sabbath.
