Top 4th Of July Weekend Music Festivals For 2022

High Sierra Music Festival returns to Plumas County Fairgrounds in celebration of the event’s 30th anniversary. HSMF 2022 headliners include Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Greensky Bluegrass and the Disco Biscuits who are joined on the lineup by Goose, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Railroad Earth, Lettuce, Twiddle, Spafford, Boombox, The War & The Treaty, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Andy Frasco & The U.N., and dozens of other acts.

The Peach Music Festival 2022 once again brings the jam to Montage Mountain this summer. The Peach lineup for the four-day extravaganza is topped by Trey Anastasio Band, The Black Crowes, Billy Strings and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, who are joined by Goose, The Revivalists, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Word, Steel Pulse, Jennifer Hartswick, Maggie Rose and others. The Allman Brothers Band tribute Trouble No Mores will also perform at The Peach.

The Ozark Mountain Soul Fest takes place at The Farm and features a little soul, a little roots, a little rock-and-roll, a little old-time swing- and a lot of heart from Opal Agafia, Jon Stickley Trio, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, The HillBenders, Mountain Sprout, The Burney Sisters, Chucky Waggs, Rachel Ammons, Pretend Friend, Red Oak Ruse, Patti Steel, DimeTrip, and more. Kids 12 and under are free!

Exodus Festival Las Vegas features 10 parties and 20 DJs performing in Sin City. The 4th of July weekend lineup features appearances by The Chainsmokers, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Rüfüs Du Sol, Lil Jon, Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Vintage Culture, Party Favor and others.

The 38th annual Iowa Freedom Rally returns to A.B.A.T.E. Freedom Park. See musical performances by Warrant, Lita Ford, Jack Russell’s Great White, Saving Abel, Joe Nichols and others and stay for fireworks, sled pull, bike games, mud wrestling, rodeo, tattoo contest, duck races, bike show, party foam pit, burnout pit, cool down contest and more.

Many well-known names in hip-hop, R&B, soul and pop will descend upon the Crescent City for this year’s Essence Festival of Culture. The multi-day event at the Superdome kicks off with comedian Kevin Hart and presents a music program featuring Janet Jackson, Nicki Minaj, New Edition, The Isley Brothers, Jazmine Sullivan, Beenie Man and several others.

Head over yonder to Marvin’s Mountaintop for this year’s Yonderville fest. Headliners set to visit the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains include Yeti, Lab Group and Liquid Stranger, who will be joined by dozens of other artists from the EDM world and beyond.

Dream Mountain Bluegrass Festival returns to the majestic Dream Mountain Ranch. Enjoy the scenic mountains of West Virginia with a music lineup featuring Keller & the Keels, Kitchen Dwellers, The Larry Keel Experience, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Kyle Tuttle and many more bluegrass acts.

Portland’s largest and longest-running music celebration Waterfront Blues Festival celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. The four-day event will see performances by Taj Mahal & The Phantom Blues Band, Grace Potter, The Wood Brothers, Lettuce, Galactic featuring Anjelika ‘Jelly’ Joseph, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force featuring Mádé Kuti, and many others.

Tahoe Live makes its debut over Independence Day Weekend at Boreal / Woodward. Take in two days of the hottest acts in electronic music with sets by Steve Aoki, Louis The Child, Ship Wrek, Whethan, Gattuso and Surf Mesa.

Great Blue Heron Music Festival returns to Heron Farm & Event Center in the hills of Western New York. The three-day Americana fest welcomes back Donna the Buffalo, Driftwood, The Town Pants and Sun King Warriors, alongside first-time performers Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Dr. Bacon, New Planets and Julia, among others.

Heritage Freedom Fest will present two days of music programming at Ozzie Smith Sports Complex along with fireworks, carnival rides and a midway, family-friendly shows, activities for all ages, crafters and vendors, and festival food and beverages. Topping the music lineup are headliners Cheap Trick and Chris Janson.

FitzGerald’s night club presents the 39th annual Fitgerald’s American Music Festival. Celebrating roots music and backyard cooking with a nod to New Orleans and Austin, the lineup of acts slated to perform at the four-day festival is topped by North Mississippi Allstars, Son Volt, Alejandro Escovedo and Rebirth Brass Band.

John Waters hosts Mosswood Meltdown over two days at Mosswood Park. Bikini Kill and Kim Gordon top the lineup, which also includes Shannon Shaw, The Dirtbombs, Hunx And His Punx, Linda Lindas, Bleached, Flipper, Pansy Division, Rubinoos, Carbonas, The Fevers, Brontez Purnell, Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries, Snooper, Podium and more.

Spend Saturday In The Park with The Avett Brothers, Buddy Guy, Elle King, Daisy the Great, Doc Robinson, Artificial Stars, Servant Shop, Fetty Wap, Black Pistol Fire, and more. The free single-day festival presented by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City will be held at Grandview Park.
