Top Atlanta Music Festivals For 2022

Candler Park Music Festival delivers another two days of action in Atlanta. Friday’s lineup is full of fun with Grace Potter, Yonder Mountain String Band, Andy Frasco and The U.N. and The Orange Constant. Stick around for Saturday’s stacked schedule with the Disco Biscuits, Allmans’ tribute Trouble No More, Twiddle, Cha Wa, CBDB and Webster.

Riverbend Festival spreads out over three days at Ross’ Landing on the banks of the Tennessee River. The 38th-anniversary event’s lineup features Gov’t Mule, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Tanya Tucker, Brothers Osborne, Cage the Elephant, Elle King, Grace Potter, Jenny Lewis, Moon Taxi, The War and Treaty, Brittney Spencer and Devon Gilfillian, along with a few others.

Located on the scenic shores of Lake Logan, Cold Mountain Music Festival offers a day of equally idyllic music. Topping the bill is North Carolina-born band Hiss Golden Messenger and the event will also see performances by Futurebirds, The Mother Hips, Chatham Rabbits and I Draw Slow. Additionally, local food and drink vendors as well as family-friendly activities ensure good times for all.

Evans Media Source presents the Cherokee Bluegrass Festival. Spend three days at Happy Holiday Campground with the likes of Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Backline, The Malpass Brothers and more.

First held 20 years ago, Bonnaroo returns for another four days on the Bonnaroo Farm. Headliners Tool, Stevie Nicks, The Chicks and J. Cole top the 2022 lineup. Others performing include Billy Strings, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The War On Drugs, Herbie Hancock, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Goose, Joy Oladokun, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Lettuce, Andy Frasco & The U.N., and more. Bleachers will produce this year’s SuperJam dubbed Jack Antonoff’s 1984.

See some of the finest in Americana, R&B, soul and more at the Lost Art Music Festival. Visit the plush confines of Foxhall Resort and catch performances by Durand Jones & The Indications, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Paul Cauthen, The Lone Bellow, Rayland Baxter, Southern Avenue, Gabe Lee and others.

The aptly named Subterranea delves into The Caverns for two days, marking the first festival to offer on-site camping at the renowned underground venue. Host band Papadosio will deliver four sets with additional performances by SunSquabi, Doom Flamingo, lespecial, Cloudchord, Axel Thesleff, Brether, Dizgo, EarthCry, Electrochemical, Evanoff and more. The festival also boasts live art, yoga workshops, sound baths, cave tours and food trucks.

The North Carolina State Bluegrass Festival takes over Tom Johnson’s Camping Center for three-days. Thursday will see performances by The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, Larry Stephenson Band, Bluegrass Mountaineers and Bandana Rhythm Band. The Malpass Brothers, Deeper Shade of Blue, The Family Sowell, Savanah River Bluegrass and more feature on Friday while Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Authentic Unlimited, Backline and others will help close out the event on Saturday.

Night in the Country Carolinas brings some of country’s biggest names to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) for three-days. Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley and Jon Pardi are set to headline alongside performances from Jimmie Allen, Travis Denning, Jameson Rodgers, Lainey Wilson, Ashley McBryde and Aaron Watson among others. The TIEC also offers onsite shops, restaurants, lodging and more.

The inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival debuts over Labor Day Weekend at Tryon International Equestrian Center. The bluegrass-stacked lineup boasts Jerry Douglas, The Earls of Leicester, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Béla Fleck My Bluegrass Heart, Leftover Salmon and many more.

The Brevard Music Center plays host to Mountain Song Festival for two days at the end of summer. Hometown heroes Steep Canyon Rangers top the bill which also features Amythyst Kiah, The Gibson Brothers, Chatham Rabbits, Shannon Whitworth and Henhouse Prowlers.

Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors host another installment of the Moon River Music Festival. The National and Leon Bridges headline the two-day event at Coolidge Park. The lineup also consists of Band Of Horses, Local Natives, Zach Bryan, Greensky Bluegrass, Lucius, Charley Crockett, Keb’ Mo’, Hiss Golden Messenger and more.

A New World awaits at this year’s Imagine Music Festival. Top EDM acts abound with a lineup consisting of Excision, GRiZ, Kaskade, Air2earth, Ganja White Night, Gorgon City, Liquid Stranger, Madeon, San Holo and Subtronics, to name just a few of the dozens of others appearing at the event.

Atlanta’s Piedmont Park heats up over two days for Music Midtown 2022. The eclectic lineup has something to offer for fans of all kinds of music styles with performances by My Chemical Romance, Future, Fall Out Boy, Jack White, Phoebe Bridgers, Mitski, Phoenix, A Day To Remember, Turnstile, 2 Chainz and several others.

Furnace Fest fires up its three-night event at the historic Sloss Furnaces. Heating up the stage are Mastodon, Sunny Day Real Estate, Manchester Orchestra, Descendents, Thrice, The Ghost Inside, New Found Glory, Alexisonfire, Midtown, The Story So Far, In Flames and many, many more.

The enchanting Cloverleaf Farm hosts the three-day Wildwood Revival. Get connected with the sounds of Black Pumas, Jenny Lewis, The Wood Brothers, John Moreland, Elizabeth Cook, Suzanne Santo, Early James, The Bones Of J.R. Jones, The Heavy Heavy and more.

Jason Isbell‘s ShoalsFest returns with a lineup headlined by Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats. The Isbell-curated event held at McFarland Park also features Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Drivin’ n’ Cryin’, Amanda Shires, John Moreland, Danielle Ponder, John Paul White and Gary Nichols.

Dig in to CaveFest this fall at The Volunteer State’s famed The Caverns. The two-day camping event will see performances at the above ground amphitheater by Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, Yonder Mountain String Band, Rising Appalachia, Jim Lauderdale, Kitchen Dwellers, The Lil Smokies, Sierra Hull, Lindsay Lou, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Larry Keel Experience and Kendall Street Company among others. The Caverns’ world-famous underground concert hall will play host to daily jam sessions, cave yoga and more.
