Prince’s Paisley Park in association with NPG Records have publicly shared two previously unreleased Prince tracks, “All A Share Together Now” and “7 (E Flat Version).” The latter is an alternate version of “7,” which appeared on Prince’s 1992 album Love Symbol, while “All A Share Together Now” is previously unheard by the public in any form.
Both tracks were previewed at the recent Paisley Park’s Celebration 2023. The event — which centered around what would have been Prince’s 65th birthday on June 7 — featured appearances and conversations with Grammy-winning artist Chaka Khan as well as hip hop greats Chuck D and Doug E. Fresh. The celebration also saw performances from Sounds of Blackness, R&B star Stokley of Mint Condition, DJ/producer D-Nice, members of Prince’s band New Power Generation (NPG), Prince protégé Shelby J, the Minneapolis youth choir MPLS and a showcase of new artists Nunnabove and Nur-D.
Celebration 2023 also boasted a Prince Legacy Tribute led by NPG founding member, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Rosie Gaines. The event functioned as a remembrance of both Prince and Tina Turner with a tribute helmed by Prince’s longtime DJ and collaborator DJ Rashida.
Additionally, Paisley Park gifted both “All A Share Together Now” and “7 (E Flat Version)” to attendees on special cassette-shaped USB keys. Now, both songs are available to the public on streaming services as part of an emerging Prince Vault Series.
Prince recorded “7 (E Flat Version)” on August 9, 1992 during the Love Symbol sessions. The iconic artist captured “All A Share Together Now” on September 4, 2006. Listen to both previously unreleased tracks below:
