My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats brought the Eye To Eye Tour 2024 to Credit One Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina last night. Rateliff & The Night Sweats were joined by members of MMJ for a take on Traffic’s “Feelin’ Alright” and later Nathaniel Rateliff and the horns teamed with Jacket to cover Chuck Berry’s “You Never Can Tell.”
Thursday was the second show of the tour and the order was switched as Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats took the stage first. The band’s 12-song setlist pulled from five different albums, including three cuts from the recently released South Of Here.

Rateliff & The Night Sweats welcomed My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James and drummer Patrick Hallahan for “Feelin’ Alright” late in their set. Hallahan played percussion as Rateliff and James co-helmed the Dave Mason-penned song off Traffic’s 1968 self-titled debut.
While Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats hadn’t played “Feelin’ Alright” since debuting the cover on December 19, 2018, the frontman did join My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks on August 26, 2023 for a collaborative performance of the song. Rateliff and his bandmates then went sans guests to end their set with fan- favorite “S.O.B.”

My Morning Jacket also delivered a career-spanning set at Credit One Stadium. Z (2005), Evil Urges (2008), It Still Moves (2003), My Morning Jacket (2021) and The Waterfall II (2020) were each represented by multiple songs in the setlist.
The band focused on staples including “Gideon,” “Off The Record,” “Evil Urges,” “Anytime” and “One Big Holiday.” The “You Never Can Tell” featuring Rateliff and The Night Sweats horns came towards the end of the set. Last night was My Morning Jacket’s fifth cover of the 1964 Chuck Berry hit.
