Greensky Bluegrass concluded a two-night Red Rocks stand on Saturday, part of a larger four-night Colorado run that began at Dillon Amphitheater. Saturday’s finale saw the quintet welcoming opener Sierra Ferrell to help them debut a Zach Bryan cover.
An eventful show, GSBG’s two-night Red Rocks closer also saw Greensky Bluegrass welcoming Sierra Ferrell’s bandmates mandolinist Josh Rilko and guitarist Oliver Bates Craven for “Burn Them” in the second set. The band appropriately used the pyrotechnics they had brought along for the occasion on the fire-referencing original but really burned the house down with their cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” as the penultimate song of the Red Rocks run.

The Sierra Ferrell sit-in took place earlier in the show during the first set when Greensky brought out the singer-songwriter to help them debut Zach Bryan’s “Holy Roller.” Ferrell dueted with Bryan on the original studio version appearing on Zach’s recently released 2023 self-titled album. At Red Rocks, Greensky Bluegrass mandolinist Paul Hoffman stepped into the Bryan role to duet with Ferrell on the cover premiere.
