Greensky Bluegrass delivered a headlining slot at the Rhythm & Roots Festival in Charlestown, Rhode Island on Sunday. The quintet offered Jimmy Buffett’s “Come Monday” for their encore.

GSBG kicked off their set with a pair of staples, “Burn Them” and “Windshield.” The band then turned to material from their 2022 album Stress Dreams with “Monument” and “Streetlight.” The fifth song slot saw the quintet stretching “Run Or Die” past the 13 minute mark.

“200 Miles from Montana” came next ahead of “What You Need” and “Demons.” The band then delivered a cover of the Norton Buffalo-penned, Jerry Garcia Band-covered “Ain’t No Bread In The Breadbox,” which clocked in at just over 11 minutes.

Next, “Get Out” came ahead of Stress Dreams’ “New & Improved” and “Grow Together.” Greensky Bluegrass wrapped the set by taking “Leap Year” to nearly 20 minutes. GSBG returned to encore with Jimmy Buffett’s “Come Monday.”

“Come Monday” appears on Jimmy Buffett’s 1974 album, Living and Dying in 3/4 Time. The Labor Day Weekend-referencing song is an especially fitting tribute for Buffett considering he sadly died on September 1. Greensky Bluegrass debuted the cover on September 2 at their concert in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The band continued to honor the acclaimed singer-songwriter to close out their set at Rhythm & Roots in Rhode Island.
