Greensky Bluegrass concluded their fall tour this past weekend with a three-city run across Texas. The band dug deep into their repertoire on Friday at the Granada Theater in Dallas for a trio of rarely played covers.
After opening with “All For Money” and a pairing of “In Control” and “Can’t Stop Now,” GSBG delivered a rollicking take on “Prom Night.” The quintet last played the song penned by fellow Michigan native Robin Davis back in January. A run of “Into The Rafters,” “Screams” and “Streetlight” paved the way for a set-closing cover of Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care.”

Greensky Bluegrass kicked off their second set at the Granada with their first cover of Bob Marley’s “Small Axe” since September 13, 2023 — a span of 95 shows. Favorites “All Four,” “Windshield,” “The Four” and “Run Or Die” were sprinkled through a closing frame that also included the bluegrass standard “Salty Dog Blues.” First released by Charlie Jackson and popularized by Flatt & Scruggs, Greensky Bluegrass previously performed the song in February, which was its first play in nearly five years.
The band looked back to their Halloween show for a “Broken Arrow” encore. Greensky Bluegrass debuted the Robbie Robertson cover on October 31st in honor of Phil Lesh, who sang the song both with the Grateful Dead and with his solo projects.
