Zac Brown Band Brings Out Gary Cherone & Mac McAnally + Gives Away Free Cruises At Fenway Park

Zac Brown Band played a sold-out show at Fenway Park in Boston on Sunday night, the band’s 15th consecutive sellout at the historic home of the Red Sox. The concert was part of the Love & Fear Tour, presented by Margaritaville At Sea.

During the acoustic portion of the evening, Extreme frontman Gary Cherone joined the band for a performance of Extreme’s “More Than Words.”

Mac McAnally, a longtime friend and collaborator of the late Jimmy Buffett, appeared twice during the show. The longtime member of Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band joined for “A Pirate Looks at Forty” during the acoustic set and returned during the encore for “Margaritaville.”

Zac Brown announced ahead of a performance of “Same Boat” that he was giving every ticket holder at Fenway a free cruise for two on Margaritaville at Sea. Buffett contributed to a version of “Same Boat” that was released in 2022. Buffett died in 2023 at age 76.

The massive giveaway was reportedly valued at more than $40 million, Brown’s representatives told USA Today. Here’s how Brown announced the “biggest giveaway in history” to his fans at Fenway:

“We’re keeping this party going with Jimmy Buffett’s legacy in mind. Thanks to Margaritaville At Sea for sponsoring our tour this year. We’ve got a new music venue that’s on one of their cruise ships. It’s called Same Boat. The hospitality on these boats is unbelievable, y’all.

“The boat launches next year on the… it’s called the Beachcomber, and tonight we’re gonna do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy. I’m buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. Every single person here gets a cruise for themselves and a loved one to go on the boat.
