Full Run Audio: Listen To All Three Trey Anastasio Solo Acoustic Performances

By Scott Bernstein Mar 13, 2017 2:16 pm PDT

This past Saturday night, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio played his third and final show of a brief solo acoustic run. Anastasio presented material from throughout his career as well as a few choice covers during his first ever series of fully unplugged performances. Audience recordings of all three shows have now surfaced.

Anastasio kicked off the run on Wednesday at the Academy Of Music Theatre in Northampton, Massachusetts (FULL RECAP). The guitarist continued the jaunt on Friday night at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, New York (FULL RECAP) ahead of the closer on Saturday at Portsmouth Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (FULL RECAP). Trey played a total of 65 different songs over the course of the run. He performed “More” at all three shows, while “Steam,” “Backwards Down The Number Line,” “Summer Of ’89,” “Wilson” and “Bouncing Around The Room” were the only tunes repeated at two of the three solo acoustic concerts.

In addition to treating each of the capacity crowds to songs from throughout his career, Anastasio was in full storyteller mode each night. He told many tales each night and honored a number of notable figures with his stories including unheralded collaborator Scott Herman and late Santana percussionist Raul Rekow. Trey used a new Martin guitar for the concerts. Our friends at Trey’s Guitar Rig go into full detail about Anastasio’s solo acoustic rig. Stream and/or download recordings of all three shows below.
