Dave Matthews Band confirmed the next installment of their Live Trax live archival series will feature official audio of the band’s November 9, 1996 concert at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. Live Trax Vol. 54: Cow Palace, which is currently available for pre-order, is due to ship on December 11.
The show was DMB’s lone performance at the San Francisco area venue. It came as part of the group’s first arena tour and was broadcast on FM radio. The complete show has been remixed for the upcoming release.

Dave Matthews Band released Crash, their sophomore major label studio album, the previous April. Six songs from the LP made the setlist at the Cow Palace as did six tunes from 1994’s Under The Table And Dreaming.
Highlights include lengthy versions of “Jimi Thing” and “Typical Situation” as well as a “Minarets” featuring a “Tomorrow Never Knows” intro. Dave Matthews emerged to begin the encore with drummer Carter Beauford and bassist Stefan Lessard on “I’ll Back You Up” before the rest of the band returned for the “Dancing Nancies” finale.
