Dave Matthews Band frontman Dave Matthews was the musical guest on Tuesday’s episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. Matthews delivered a remote performance of “Mercy” for the show.

“Mercy” was debuted by Dave during an April 2012 episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. DMB offered the first full-band take on the song the next month and a studio version appeared on their 2012 album, Away From The World.

“I hope this song is appropriate for the times,” Matthews said after Seth introduced him and shouted out Dave’s work with HeadCount. “I’m going to try not to bounce up and down too much to shake my telephone camera,” Dave added before starting his performance of “Mercy.”
