Dave Matthews Discusses HeadCount, The Importance Of Voting & More On ‘CBS This Morning’

Dave Matthews appeared on CBS This Morning recently. The musician talked about voter registration organization HeadCount, the importance of voting and more.

Dave began the conversation by talking about growing up in South Africa and its history of voting, namely in the first free, fully representative democratic elections in 1994 when Nelson Mandela was elected president. During that election, the vast majority of South Africans voted and Dave outlined the importance of people exercising their right to vote in the U.S. He also spoke about HeadCount, a voter registration organization aimed at young people who just surpassed the milestone of registering a million voters.
