mei ehara Announces 1st U.S. Headline Tour Dates To Support New Album ‘All About McGuffin’

Tokyo-based musician mei ehara confirmed dates of her first headlining tour of the United States. The short run of shows will support her newly announced album, All About McGuffin, which features the lead single, “Kanashii Untenshu (Sad Driver).”

The 10-song follow-up to ehara’s 2020 album, Ampersands, was recorded with her longtime bandmates, guitarist Masamichi Torii, keyboardist Naruki Numazawa, bassist Sota “Coff” Kimoto and drummer Koki Hama. The brief tour supporting All About McGuffin will follow its release on September 12 through the KAKUBARHYTHM label.

The U.S.Tour begins on September 23 at San Francisco’s Swedish American Hall. The next show takes place at The Echo in Los Angeles on September 25. New York City’s Mercury Lounge will host ehara’s headlining performance on September 28. The run concludes on September 30 at The Empty Bottle in Chicago.
