Miley announced a new album, Bass Persuades, out through Atlantic Records on September 18. The artist, who has dropped her last name, also confirmed a pair of dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
While details of the pop star’s 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, are sparse, Miley recently guest-edited a special issue of Wonderland Magazine photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Her chief creative officer, Alastair McKimm, was also a close collaborator on the album with Mert Alas creating the visual accompaniment for Bass Persuades.
In a social media post announcing the record, Miley wrote:
“Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.”
The pop star also shared a video teasing Bass Persuades. Check it out below:
Miley will make her debut at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 followed by another concert on October 18. In another social post, Miley wrote about the historic L.A. venue.
“It’s been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.”
Following various presales beginning next week, tickets for Miley’s Hollywood Bowl concerts go on sale to the general public on Thursday, September 10 at 10 a.m. PT.
The news of Bass Persuades comes just a week removed from the death of Miley’s godmother, Dolly Parton. Check out her tribute post below:
