Watch Courtney Barnett Rip Through KEXP Return
The session featured songs from the Aussie guitarist’s new album, Creature Of Habit.

While on tour last fall, Courtney Barnett visited Seattle independent radio station KEXP. The Australian guitarist recorded a live session comprised of songs that appear on her 2026 album, Creature Of Habit.
Following the Creature Of Habit tracklist, “Stay In Your Lane” was the first song played by Barnett at KEXP. The guitarist, backed by bassist Bones Sloane and drummer Stella Mozgawa, then jumped on the album track, “Mantis.”
Barnett spoke with KEXP DJ Cheryl Waters at the end of the session, after ripping through “Mostly Patient” and “Sugar Plum.”
Barnett will tour in support of Creature Of Habit with shows planned across North America beginning next month. Watch the KEXP live session:
