Courtney Barnett’s fourth solo album, Creature Of Habit, will arrive on March 27 through Mom+Pop. The Aussie guitarist confirmed tour dates supporting the pending record, which includes the newly shared single, “Site Unseen,” featuring Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield.
Barnett recorded 10 new songs for Creature Of Habit, which follows her 2021 album, Things Take Time, Take Time, and the 2023 instrumental collection of songs, End of the Day, recorded for the documentary film about her, Anonymous Club.
Along with “Site Unseen,” Barnett previously previewed the Creature Of Habit opening track, “Stay In Your Lane.” Reflecting on the Crutchfield collaboration for “Site Unseen,” Barnett stated:
“I tried three separate times over two years to track this song, and each time it either wasn’t finished or didn’t sound right, and each time we had to start again. I kept hearing this really high harmony in my head, so for the fourth and final version, I asked Katie if she’d be into singing it with me.
“I’m a big Waxahatchee fan. I really love Katie’s songwriting and her voice, so it was an honour to have her sing on ‘Site Unseen.’”
Barnett will perform in support of Creature Of Habit on her 2026 North American Tour taking her across the United States and Canada throughout May and August. Momma, Truman Sinclair, Built to Spill and Zoh Amba will provide support on select dates.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 23. Scroll for additional details and ticketing links.
